Smoking tobacco was an important part of early-day Blackfeet
society. All major decisions were sealed with a smoke or
a gift of tobacco.
Since prehistoric times the Indians of the Northern Plains have
smoked tobacco in stone pipe bowls attached to long wooden
stems.
Blackfeet style beaded headband
We presented fully beaded headband in Northern Plains style. For
beadwork we use spot stitch beading technique, commonly called
overlaid.
