Blackfeet style gauntlets

The gauntlets in floral or geometric designs was very popular among Indians of most Northern Plains tribes and Metis. Blackfeet and Northern Tribes adopted skin gloves from army officers who were stationed at surrounding forts.

This floral design gauntlets we made of buckskin and full beaded on the outside of the cuffs. They have a rolled wool rim of red color.

Material: Brain tanned hide, old glass beads, wool and calico
Dimensions: long: 8.5 inch, 22 cm
